(State Water Officials participate in a tour)....The Imperial Irrigation District hosted the tour Wednesday.

Taking the tour was Director Karla Nemeth and other officials from the California Department of Water Resources. The tour included the proposed site of the operational reservoir near the All American Canal and East Highline Canals. They also viewed local agriculture and irrigation practices, the IID water conveyance system, efficiency conservation programs, local geothermal and lithium development and they discussed the district's Salton Sea Air Quality Mitigation plan and pilot projects. There were also presentations on water conservation, Colorado River drought, Salton Sea and geothermal/ lithium development
