(Early Morning Fire in El Centro)....It was reported at just after 2:00 Tuesday morning.

It was reported in the 1200 block of West El Dorado Avenue in El Centro. Mutual aid was requested. Fire Departments from Holtville, Imperial, Brawley and Westmorland responded. The fire was at the El Centro Korean Church. Fire officials say an outdoor shed fire extended into the attic of the building. Crews were able to contain the fire to the attic and one room, preventing the fire from spreading into the rest of the building. The fire was under control within 30 minutes, but crews were on scene for about two hours to protect against flare-ups. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
