(Border Patrol seizes almost 65 pounds of meth)...It happened last week.
It was at the Highway 86 checkpoint. Agents referred a vehicle to the secondary inspection area. A Border Patrol k-9 Detection Team alerted to the backseat area of the vehicle. A search resulted in the discovery of several packages that tested positive for methamphetamine. Agents say the packages weighed at total of 64.7 pounds with an estimate value of $116,460. The two US citizens in the vehicle, the narcotics and the vehicle were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
