(Active Cases of COVID 19)....They have increrased more than 200 since Tuesday.

The latest COVID numbers were released Thursday morning by the County Public Health Department. According to the new numbers, there are 2,890 active cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County. That is up from 2,663 reported Tuesday. Deaths attributed to the vvirus are now at 811. 83 COVID positive patients are currently hospitalized in Imperial County. 25 of them are in Intensive care. The Health Department says there are 45 ventilators in use countywide. There have now been 6 cases of the Omicron variant reported in Imperial County. The total number of vaccine doses administered in the county is now just over 366,600. The Health Department says that is over 80% vaccinated.
