(FTB is accepting state tax returns)...The Franchise Tax Board is offering assistance for taxpayers.
They say taxpayers should be aware of tax scams and learn how to claim valuable cash back tax credits, filke a return for free and more. Californians are encouraged to use DTB's online services, including e-filing. State Controller and FTB Chair Betty Yee says file as early as possible for a faster refund. She said millions of taxpayers are expected to qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit and many of them will also get the Young Child Rax Credit. Suspected scams shoulkd be reported to the FTB or IRS. For state tax information, including filing, go to frtb.ca.gov.
