The National Weather Service ( NWS ) has issued a wind advisory for the Imperial Valley through Midnight Monday.
Light rain is also possible Monday evening. The mountains between Imperial Valley and San Diego will experience wind gusts up to 30 - 35 miles per hour as well as patchy fog and showers. Some snow above 4,500 feet is also possible.
Looking further into the week, the NWS sys a more significant system will move through the area with scattered to widespread rain chances. The chance of rain should greatly diminish by New Years Day.
