U. S. Border Patrol agents rescued a man lost in the Jacumba Wilderness region near Ocotillo.
At bout 7:15 p.m. Tuesday agents were notified that an individual was in distress and lost. Using GPS coordinates of the last known location of the individual, agents located a man at about 8:15 p.m. about two miles north of the international boundry. The man, an undocumented migrant from Guatemala, was taken into custody. He did not require medical attention.
Since October, El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents have successfully rescued 66 individuals who were lost, in distress, or abandoned by smugglers.
