(New Uniforms for several)...The Imperial Irrigation District has announced the change.

They say about 500 IID employees who work primarily out in the field are wearing new uniforms. The workers include those required to enter customer properties, such as meter readers and service representatives. The uniforms transition from the traditional blue shirts to tan colored apparel, featuring a larger embroidered IID logo that will help employees to be more easily identified by the public. The new uniforms consist of tan colored long sleeved t-shirts, long sleeve button ups, navy pants, blue jeans and navy or tan jackets. A reminder to customers; all IID employees carry a badge. If someone comes to the door claiming to be with the IID, ask to see the badge. If they cannot produce a badge or you feel threatened, do not let the individual in and call police.
