(Press Release From The Local Medical Society)...It is apparently in responce to the County Board of Supervisors.

The Board scheduled Doctor's Fareed and Tyson to make a presentation on COVID 19 and Protocols. The Imperial County Medical Society is a component of the California Medical Association. The press release said they continued to reinforce that prevention and treatment of COVID 19 must follow the science. Vaccines, Masking, and social distancing are proven tools of prevention, and continue to be the most effective defense against COVID 19. The release said Information that suggests deviations from the known science creates tremendous risk to the community. They say a recent John Hopkins Center For Health Security estimated that false or misleading information continues to inflict between $50 million and $300 million in total harm to the nation every day since May 2021, when vaccines to prevent COVID 19 became widely available. The release said the County Board of Supervisors should not contribute to the dissemination of false or misleading information by legitimizing unproven treatments. They urged the County Board not to use Board meetings as a platform to publicize information on COVID treatments that have not received an emergency use authorization or received full FDA approval. They called on the Board to be stewards of the science by promoting COVID vaccinations and masking, which have proven to be effective at reducing COVID hospitalizations and Deaths.
