(County CEO stepping down at the end of the year)....County Executive Officer Tony Rouhotas announced recently he would not be renewing his contract at the end of the year.

Tuesday, the County Board of Supervisors announced they had appointed Ben Salorio as the interim CEO. Salorio is currently the Imperial County Chief Public Defender. Salorio will learn the intricacies of the position, working along side Rouhotas in the final weeks the current CEO will serve before his resignation takes effect. Salorio will serve as the interim CEO until the position is filled on a permanent basis.
