(Border Patrol arrests 3 US citizens)...The 3 were in a Mercedez that drove up to the checkpoint recently.

The vehicle was sent to the secondary inspection area. There, a K-9 Detection Team alerted to the rear of the vehicle. Agents opened the trunk and found a clear bag containing 598 pills. Two oval shaped bundles were found inside a speaker in the trunk. Agents say the pills tested positive for Fentanyl and the bundles tested positive for methamphetamine. They placed an estimated value of over $5,900 on the pills. The estimated value of the meth was set at $5,970. The vehicle and the narcotics were seized and the 3 US citizens were taken into custody.
