(Single Vehicle collision)....It was reported at around 5 Thursday morning.

The California Higfhway Patrol issued a preliminary report. They say the collision was on eastbound Interstate 8, at 4th Street in El Centro They say a hispanic male, from Sun Valley, California, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet east on the Interstate in the #1 lane at an unknown rate of speed. As the vehicle approached 4th Street, the vehicle traveled off the roadway and into the center median. The driver steered the vehicle to the right to get back on the roadway and the vehicle began to skid sideways and eventually overturned. The CHP says the vehicle continued to overturn until it crashed into the guardrail and sign post. The driver, who has not been identified, suffered fatal injuries. The investigation is continuing.
