( A reminder from the tax collector)...Karen Vogel, treasurer/tax collector for the county, issued the reminder.

She said taxpayers should be aware, 1st installment of real property taxes will become delinquent if they are not paid by 5:00 pm December 10th. She said payments must be in her office by the deadline, or bear a postmark of December 10th. Payments can be paid online.. Vogel says Delinquent parcels will recieve a 10% penalty effective December 11. Property owners who have paid their taxes through impound accounts, but have recently refinanced or paid off their homes should be aware that they may now be responsible for paying the property tax bills themselves.
