U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a 24-year old man attempting to smuggle undocumented immigrants last week.

The man was driving a Ford Transit van with logos and markings of a delivery truck when he came to the Highway 86 checkpoint near Salton City. The van was referred to secondary inspection where agents discovered three individuals attempting to hide in cardboard boxes in the vehicle. The three, all Mexican nationals, were taken into custody. The driver, a U.S. citizen, faces federal charges.
