(Several Christmas Event held over the weekend)...It started with the NAF Light Parade Friday Evening.

Officials say 1200 reportedly attended the event on the Navy Base. There were 450 participants and 29 floats. The Best Performance in the Parade went to The Holtville High School Marching Band. The Best Sound Award went to the Southwest High School Marching Band. The Most Creative Float award went to the Imperial County Corrections Department. El Centro held their Tree Lighting and Street Fair Friday night. Holtville held their Christmas in the Park and tree lighting. Handel's Messiah was also presented in El Centro. Saturday was the 75th Annual El Centro Christmas Parade.
