(Last Week was Farm Worker Appreciation Week)....It had been declared by the County Board of Supervisors.

The week culminated with the 42 annual Farm Worker Appreciation Breakfast at the Job Center in Calexico. Thousands of Farm Workers were provided a breakfast of Tamales, Salsa, beans, sweet bread and coffee. No numbers have been released officially, but some say the turnout was similar to past events. The event normally attracts over 3,000 participants. The special week ended Saturday with the Farm Worker family health fair held at Imperial Valley College.
