(Appreciating local Farm workers)...It is an annual thing in Imperial County.

The County Board of Supervisors had declared this week as Farm Worker Appreciation. The special week ends Saturday with a Health and Wellness Fair at Imperial Valley College especially for farm workers and their families. It will be held late Saturday afternoon. The main event for Farm Workers appreciation week was held early Friday morning. It was the 42nd annual Farm Worker Appreciation Breakfast. It was held at the Job Center on Heber Avenue in Calexico. They began serving breakfast at 1:00 am to any farm worker who showed up, and a lot of them did. They enjoyed of Tamales, Beans, salsa, sweet bread and coffee. The numbers have not been announced, but the event normally serves over 3,000 Farm Workers every year.
