Two people were detained following a Wednesday stabbing in El Centro.

El Centro Police responded to the report of a stabbing in the 100 block of West Orange shortly before noon Wednesday. On arrival , officers found a victim who had been stabbed in the abdomen. El Centro Fire and AMR Ambulance responded to the scene to provide aid to the victim and was reportedly not breathing. Two suspects were identified and police were able to take them into custody after they briefly hid in a house. The incident remains under investigation. No updated report has been given on the man who had been stabbed.
