State Route 78 was closed for a time Wednesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles were involved in the accident south of all Verde. There were several injuries including three children. The highway was blocked for nearly two hours while emergency crews worked to treat the injured and clear the wreckage. The accident remains under investigation.
