(Allied appeals to the County Board of Supervisors)....They had been rejected by the County Planning Commission.

Allied had applied for permits to increase the amount of trash imported to their landfill on East Robinson Road. Allied want to increase the amount of trash allowed at the landfill by 1200 tons of waste per day. The plan was to import waste from communities around Southern California. The Planning Commission denied the application. Tuesday the appeal went before the Board of Supervisors. The Board held a public hearing. Both sides of the issue were presented, and after some discussion, the Supervisors decided to back the planning commission decision.
