A man walked out of an El Centro restaurant and took the employee's tip jar with him.

The incident occurred shortly before 4:00PM Wednesday at a restaurant in the Valley Plaza Shopping Center in El Centro. The man took the tip jar and headed east on Main Street. An employee of the restaurant followed him with updates for responding police officers. The man was eventually stopped in the area of 6th and Main. The money was returned to the employees. The man was cited for trespassing.
