Residents of an El Centro neighborhood were able to assist police in capturing a burglar.

Shortly before 6:00 PM Wednesday , El Centro Police received a call about a woman who had burglarized a residence and was reported to have taken a shower , ate food and took clothing from the house as well as a back pack , credit cards and other items, all while the resident was sleeping. The woman was taken into custody while still in possession of the stolen items and wearing some of the clothes that had been taken. The woman was booked at Imperial County Jail on burglary charges.
