The award went to Oswaldo Guerrero of the Imperial County Probation Department The Chief Probation Officer of California sought out candidates nominated by their chief probation officer from across the 58 counties of California for those officers and staff who have made significant contributions to the field of Probation. Imperial County. Imperial County Chief Probation Officer Dan Prince said Officer Guerrero represents the high level of commitment and dedication to the field of Probation his department strives to achieve. Prince said both, co-workers in Imperial County, as well as probation partners throughout the state recognize Guerrero's innovative approaches and assistance to others. Guerrero began his career with the Imperial County Probation Department in 2015 and has worked in the Weaparound Services Program working with high risk clients, aiding in the stabilization of families, scheduling Child Family Time meetings, creating case plans with youth and family input, and collaborating with other county agencies to ensure adequate support to the youth. Guerrero also works under the Community Works Service Program. He said he was honored and humbled by this important recognition
