That is what the recording said. Customers for Bank of America in El Centro were greeted Thursday with signs saying the branch was closed temporarily. The doors were locked. Security people working outside the bank said they had no idea why the bank was not open. Calls to the local number were of no help. The bank answered the calls with a recording that said the bank was closed temporarily. Calls to the customer service number provided was equally frustrating. There have been no official emails or notices that the branch had planned the closure.
