(Convicted sex offender)...He was arrested Sunday night.

He was illegally re-entering the US. Border Patrol agents found the individual in the desert, east of Calexico. He was taken into custody and transported to the El Centro Sector Processing Center. During a records check, the man was identified as 42 year old Leonel Ortiz Reza, a Mexican National. It was also revealed the man had been convicted for attempting unlawful sexual activity with a minor in Salt Lake City. He had served a year in jail for that conviction. He had also been convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol. After serving the time in jail he was ordereed deported back to Mexico. So far t5his fiscal year, El Centro Border Patrol agents have arrested or emoved 41 individuals either convicted or wanted on sexual offense charges.
