(IID Crews making progress)...Crews are working to replacing downed power poles.

The Imperial Irrigation District says the storm Monday knocked down or damaged several power poles in the North Shore area. That resulted in power outages to many IID customers. According to the latest update , power has been restored to another 143 customers, leaving 412 without power. The district says all power should be restored in the next couple days. Crews are also working to replaced downed and damaged power poles between Calipatria and Niland. Assistance was requested from other agencies and contract workers were called in to assist in that area.
