An Arizona man suffered major injuries in a Monday afternoon traffic accident.

The accident occurred about 3:00 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 8 by the In-Ko-Pah offramp. According to the California Highway Patrol , a full size SUV ran off the road , overturned and burst into flames. The accident blocked both eastbound lanes of the freeway for over an hour. The accident remains under investigation.
