U.S. Border Patrol agents rescued a mother and 5-year old child that were lost after illegally crossing the U.S. / Mexico border.
At about 5:30 a.m. Monday agents were notified that a mother and her 5-year old child were lost and had no water. Border Patrol agents were able to locate the pair about 30 minutes later just 100 feet north of the International Boundary. The mother and child , both Ecuadorian nationals , were medically evaluated and will be processed accordingly.
Earlier Monday a group of 4 individuals , four men and a woman , were rescued after becoming lost and having no water. The four had crossed the border in the mountainous area west of Ocotillo. The four were transported to the El Centro Processing for evaluation.
