El Centro Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

A 20-year old man was stabbed in the stomach. He was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center for treatment of what was described as a serious wound. A possible suspect was seen leaving the area. The investigation is hampered by the victim's refusal to provide much information to investigators.
