A man got his wish when he was arrested and sent to Imperial County Jail.
According to El Centro Police , the 64-year old man approached an employee of a store on South 4th Street in El Centro at about 6:00 p.m. Sunday. The man told the clerk he was going to rob him. The suspect didn't rob the store but took a wallet from someone. The man then called police from a nearby motel and told them he would be waiting for them in his room. The man , who had been released from jail on Friday , said he didn't want to hurt anyone but wanted to get out of the heat and go back to jail. He said that he did not have a weapon but used a lotion bottle to simulate one. The suspect was taken into custody and got his wish when he was booked into Imperial County Jail on Armed Robbery charges.
