An Imperial Valley Strike Team remains on the fire line in Northern California.

The Strike Team is made up of personnel and equipment form several Imperial County and Yuma Fore Departments and was deployed to the Monument Fire in the Junction City area since arriving on August 10th. They have been working structure protection details and on fire lines. The Team has since been transferred to a base camp in the Redding area and continue to work structure protection and fire line duties. The local Strike Team is part of nearly 900 total personnel working on this fire.
