The Imperial Valley College Board of Trustees has named an Interim Superintendent / President.

Dr. Lennor M. Johnson , Vice President of Student Services and Equity , was named to the interim position at Wednesday nights Board meeting. Dr. Johnson came to IVC as Dean of Student Services in 2016 and has 24 years experience in higher education. Board President Father Mark Edney said , " Dr. Johnson demonstrates an unwavering commitment to helping underserved students overcome barriers to achieve their academic and career goals , something that is evident throughout his professional career. 

Dr. Johnson holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Robert Morris University , a Master in Business Administration from Governors State University and a Doctorate in Education from Argosy University. He also served in the U. S. Marine Corps. As Interim Superintendent / President he replaces Dr. Martha Garcia who accepted a position to at College of the Desert in Palm Springs.
