(Active Cases of COVID 19)...The latest numbers have been released by the County Public Health Department.

According to the latest information, there are now 257 active cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County. Just a couple months ago, ago cases were reported at around 54. The good news, only 8 COVID 19 positive patients are hospitalized. Two are in Intensive Care. 198 of the cases are the result of one of the four variants reported in the County. There have been 9 cases of the Delta Variant reported locally. According to the State Metrics for Imperial County, the positivity rate 7 day average is at 6.1%. The new Cases per day per 100,000 population is at 10.10. There have now been a total of 221,152 COVID 19 vaccine doses administered in Imperial County.
