(Bordder Patrol rescues 8 more illegal migrants)....There were 3 separate rescues over the weekend.
All were in the Jacumba Wilderness region. The first incident was reported Saturday afternoon. El Centro Border Patrol Station dispatch received an activation from a rescue beacon located in the mountainous region. The rescue beacon provides the capability for a migrant to call for medical and rescue assistance, along with an automatic location. Border Patrol agents in the field near by were notified. Agents responded and found an undocumented individual about 1.5 miles north of the international border. The agents determined the man had entered the US illegally and was suffering from a heat related illness.. EMS arrivede and treated the 32 year old Mexican National for dehydration. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released to Border Patrol custody. Early Sunday morning County Seriff's notified the El Centrro Sector of a 911 call from an individual who said he was lost. Agents were able to locate 3 individuals a few hundred yards from the border. It was determined the 3 were undocumented. There was a 29 year old male, a 30 year old fremale and a 5 year old child all from Honduras. All three were taken into custody. The 3rd rerscue occured early Monday morning. The California Highway Patrol contacted the Border Patrol after receiving a 911 call. Border Patrol agents found 4 individuals, two adult females and two juveniles, all undocumented, about a mile north of the border. None needed medical attention and all were taken into custody.
