A traffic accident Monday afternoon resulted in a fatality.

The accident was reported at about 1:40 p.m. in the 4100 block of South Avenue E in Yuma. According to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office , a truck southbound on Avenue 3E veered off the roadway and struck a brick perimeter wall at the Yuma Marine Corps Air Station. The driver sustained fatal injuries in the collision. The accident remains under investigation.
