Officials say they will begin bringing the Mayan Hotel down on Tuesday. The structure was determined to be a public nuisance after it was gutted by fire a few months ago. They say it will take about a week to raze the structure down to the foundation. Officials say it would take another court order to demolish the foundation. They say because of that, the foundation will remain for the time being.
