The City of Imperial has renamed Sky Ranch Park.

The Park is now Deputy Anthony Redondo Memorial Park. Redonda , an Imperial County Sheriff's deputy died on June 26 , 2021 when his patrol car was involved in a traffic accident. Deputy Redondo was a resident of the City of Imperial and had utilized the park growing up in that city. He used Sky Ranch Park to prepare for the Police Academy and the ICSO Physical Agility Test. The City of Imperial was contacted by ICSO Deputy Aaron Curiel , a family friend and colleague of Redondo , who pointed out the significance of the park to Redondo and his family.
