A Strike Team of firefighters have been deployed to the Dixie Fire in Northern California.

The Strike Team deployed Tuesday includes personnel and equipment from the Imperial Valley and Yuma. The Dixie Fire has burned approximately 60,000 acres in the area of the Lassen National Forest near Susanville in Northeastern California. The fire is 15 percent contained. A Strike Team is typically deployed for up to two weeks.
