(Suspect Found in Mexicali)....The suspect was arrested Thursday morning.

Calexico Police, with the assistance of the Imperial County Narcotics Task Force, US Marshalls, Border Patrol Intelligence and the Agencia Estatal de Investigacion Zona Mexicali located and arrested 22 year old Maria Guadalupe Palacios Perez at a motel in Mexicali. She was arrested without incident. She was transported to the United States and booked into Imperial County jail. The suspect is being charged in the murder of 28 year old Michelle Hernandez Durazo. The victim was murdered at around 2:55 am on July 4th in Calexico. Calexico police thanked the participating agencies involved in the arrest.
