Imperial County Sheriff's Office Deputy Anthony Redondo was escorted home Monday.

Law enforcement officers , first responders and citizens lined overpasses in San Diego and Imperial County as the body of the deputy was returned to the Valley Monday afternoon. On order of Governor Gavin Newsom , flags at the State Capitol were flown at half-staff to honor the deputy who died in a traffic accident Saturday evening. Redondo , 25 , died when his patrol car collided with a pick up truck at Forrester and Aten Roads. Redondo served with the Imperial County Sheriff's Office for eight months. He is survived by his mother Janelle Frazier and step-father , Eric Frazier , who is a sergeant with the Imperial County Sheriff's Office.
