The Imperial Irrigation District is asking electricity customers to conserve energy.

With temperatures in excess of 115 degrees Sunday and a few degrees higher on Monday the IID is asking that you help take stress of the power grid and maintain a reliable energy delivery system between the hours of 4 - 9 p.m. both days. By setting your thermostat to 78 degrees or higher , turning off unnecessary lights and not using major appliances during these hours you can help avoid rotating power outages.
