(Fire near Mt. Laguna)...It is 95 % contained.

The Overland Fire started on June 19th. It was reported near the Great Southern Overland Stage Route, hence the name. That is east of Mount Laguna in the San Diego County mountains. Cal Fire is the lead agency combating the fire. At their latest report Thursday morning, Cal Fire officials said the fire was almost fully contained. It has burned 515 acres. No structures were ever threatened and no injuries have been reported. After full containment is reached, a crew will remain on scene to monitor hot spots to prevent any flare-ups. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
