U.S. Border Patrol agents rescued a total of seven undocumented individuals lost in the desert in the Jacumba Wilderness west of Ocotillo.
Two separate rescues were made on Wednesday. At about 10:30 a.m. three lost migrants were located. At about 7:30 p.m. that evening a group of four individuals were rescued in the same general area. On Monday morning , Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents located the body of a deceased man , a Mexican national , east of Yuma. The man had apparently been dead for about two weeks. Tuesday afternoon , Border Patrol agents responded to a call for help south of the Yuma foothills. Agents located a group of migrants , one of whom , a 20-year old woman from Guatemala , had died. Agents took a 16-year old resident of San Luis , Mexico into custody when it was determined he was the groups guide.
