(Kettle Ball shaped packages)....They were found in Calexico.
Four packages were found Wednesday night, about a mile east of the Calexico West Port of Entry. The kettle ball shaped packages were taken to the Calexico Border Patrol Station, where they tested positive for methamphetamine. The packages weighed a total of 4.10 pounds with an estimated value of $11,275. A second incident occurred early Thursday morning. A Border Patrol agent working in downtown Calexico was notified by a Mexicali Police officer that he had apprehended a man throwing an object over the international border fence, into the United States. The agent searched the area and found a bag containing two kettle ball shaped packages. The bag and packages were taken to the Calexico Station, where the packages tested positive for methamphetamine. The packages weighed less than a pound, with an estimated value of $2,172. In both incidents, the packages were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
