(Brush Fire update)....The Southern Fire was originally reported May 2.
It started near Agua Caliente in San Diego County. The fire initially caused the evacuation of over 500 in the area. Cal Fire says since the initial report, the fire has burned 5,184 acres, and is still burning. Officials reported Tuesday morning the fire was 55% contained. Very little information has been released. No injuries have been reported and fire fighters have been able to keep the fire away from any structures, though several are threatened.
