(Imperial County Unemployment Rate)...The latest numbers are for March.
The numbers are provided by the Labor Market Information Division of the Employment development Department of California. According to the latest numbers, March unemployment was recorded at 15.7 percent, down from a revised 16.0 percent in February, and below the year ago estimate of 20.1 percent. This compares with an unadjusted unemployment rate of 8.2 percent for California and 6.2 percent for the nation during the same period. During the month of March there were 10,200 eligible workers unemployed out of a Labor Force of 65,100. Imperial County, once again, has the highest unemployment rate in the state.
