(Caught re-entering the US)....The man had previously been deported.

Border Patrol agents found the man at around 11:00 am Wednesday. They found the man about 22 miles west of the Calexico Port of Entry. They questioned the man and determined he had entered the country illegally. The agents arrested the man and took him to a rally point for processing. A records check identified the man as a 28 year old Mexican National. It also revealed he had been convicted for sex with a minor out of Santa Maria, in 2012. He had been sentenced to one year in prison and 5 years probation, before being deported. The man was arrested and is being held in federal custody, charged with illegal re-entry after previously being removed from the US. A hearing is pending.
