(Inmate death)....It is being investigated as a possible homicide.

Officials say the death at the Ironwood State Prison in Blythe came several days following a fight. 44 year old Henry Reyes was found unconscious and bleeding in his cell earlier this month. Officers restrained Reye's cellmate and placed him in segregated housing pending an investigation. In the meantime, medical staff performed life saving measures on Ryes, who was then transported to an outside hospital for a higher level of treatment. Reyes died from his injuries a couple days later. Reyes had been in prison since 2014 after being convicted of first degree murder, attempted murder, and criminal threat to cause great bodily injury or death. The incident remains under investigation
