(CHP releases details of collision)....It was a single vehicle collision.

It happened Friday afternoon on Interstate 8, near In Koh Pah. The California Highway Patrol received a report of a vehicle on fire. When they arrived, they found a Ford F-150 fulling engulfed, with the diver still inside. The driver was latr identified as 53 year old Charles Parker of San Diego. Imperial County Fir responded to the call and they extinguished the fire. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene. It is suspected the driver suffered fatal injuries after the pick-up veered off the roadway and collided into some rocks. The CHP is investigating to determine why the vehicle veered off the roadway
