(State Assembly adjourned in memory of Kevin Kelley)...Assemblyman Eduardo Garcia honored the memory of the former IID General Manager.

Kelley was described as a dedicated public servant and advocate. Garcia rose to adjourn the Friday, February 12 California State Assembly session in his honor. Garcia said Kevin Kelley was a dedicated public servant, a fierce advocate for the Salton Sea, and an extremely talented musician. The Assemblyman said we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, as our entire Assembly pays tribute to his legacy of service. He said throughout his career, Mr. Kelley stood up to defend Imperial County, taking on critical water and agriculture issues to shape and improve our community. He said Kevin Kelley advocated on behalf of the restoration and mitigation of the Salton Sea. His dynamic presence will be deeply missed as we continue to carry out the work he began. Kevin Kelley passed away recently at the ag of 61.
